Viraj Sawhney is Managing Director and Partner at Warburg Pincus, a leading global private equity firm headquartered in New York. He has been at the firm since 2005 and leads Cross Border Services investing. He is based in Mumbai and has led several investments for the firm in India, USA and SE Asia. He sits on the board of various portfolio companies and works closely with the CEOs and senior management on topics including strategy, growth, talent and M&A. He works with non-profit organizations focused on education and animal welfare in India. Viraj holds a BA degree in Mathematics from St. Stephens College (Delhi University) and an M.B.A from IIM Ahmedabad. He is also a recipient of the IIM-A Young Alumni Achievers Leadership Award.
