Nandini Kochar

Mumbai, Maharashtra

Born in India and raised in Botswana, Nandini is a documentary media-maker, educator, and community organizer. Over 5 years, she has harnessed the power of art and storytelling to advocate for marginalized communities across geographies, including working with organizations such as UNICEF USA, TheirWorld, and ROMEA. Nandini has been a Teach For India Fellow, Dalai Lama Fellow, Global Girls Education Fellow, and Global Changemaker. She recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a Masters in Social Anthropology.

Nazaria is on a mission to nurture the next generation of grassroots Indian storytellers and journalists. To realise this vision, Nazaria aims to launch ‘Kahani Labs’ in underserved communities across urban and rural India. Kahani Labs are community-led alternative learning centers where marginalised youth experience high-quality multimedia arts training and social justice education, enabling them to unleash their creative potential, cultivate greater agency, and pursue resilient livelihoods in arts and media.
