Shaheen Mistri

Shaheen Mistri is the Founder and CEO of Teach For India, a non-profit organisation that aims to provide excellent education to all children across India by building a movement of leaders committed to ending educational equity in the country. She is also the founder of Akanksha Foundation which runs schools across Mumbai and Pune, impacting 10,000 children from low-income communities across Mumbai and Pune. Shaheen is a strong advocate of Student Voice and Partnership and currently serves on the boards of The Akanksha Foundation and the Advisory Board of The Museum of Solutions. She has been an Ashoka and TED Fellow, a Global Leader for Tomorrow at the World Economic Forum, and an Asia Society 21 Leader. Shaheen has a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Manchester.
